I'm a 25 year old software engineer from Australia that has always been passionate about technology and have self diagnosed myself with an unsatisfying curiosity about how things work.
I want use my expertise to help reduce the interest of my mortgage which I'm sure is a common reason. If you're reading this because you are interested in working with me I work my best if I actually really like what you are doing.
Recently I've felt like working on some AI projects to learn more about what cool tools and services there are out there. I'm planning on creating a wedding referral recommender next. Basic idea will be simple ui to input type of wedding it is, religion, culture, ethnicity, budget, location, etc and spit out example wedding agenda with referrals of items you buy and i make a profit of those referrals.
History
I've actually had a very on and off relationship with coding throughout my early life which is quite funny.
My first experience with code was back when I was in primary school probably around the age of 9. I don't know if you would even consider it coding but it was playing around with Game maker making stupid games with sprites that I would download off some shady websites.
A core memory I have of coding was back when I was 10 or 11 and I was using Visual Basic to create programs that would react based on mouse events. I once recreated the classic scary maze but made a spin off called happy maze where you'd actually win. I remember thinking to myself I could build anything possible and map every possible outcome to a desired result. I now this this sort rof deterministic thinking of brute force is very practical.
The next venture in coding I had was to do with doing C++ when I was around 11 years old, thinking back I didnt do anything substantial apart from some basic IO cli programs but I had watched a lot of "The New Boston" tutorials on C++ which made me think to myself that I had learnt all C++ had to over and so I didn't really further that area although I wish I did now that I think about it. Around the same time I also played around with Dreamweaver another program which made me think I could build any website possible with shear brute force alone.
From here on out I didn't really do any sort of serious coding until I went to Uni. So fastforwarding to my uni days I remember that I was a really bad student in terms of attending lectures and classes as many student probably were. One of my biggest regrets at uni was not joining the computing clubs as that was probably the thing to value the most while at Uni.
